Sentry Versus – Episode 2 

It’s been a while! Sentry Versus is our new series for Sentry Esports, where our team, friends, and community members get together to duke it out in various games! It’s something that we’re really excited to continue, as it gives us a chance to really explore other games that we love even outside of strictly esports titles. It’s also a great way to have fun and friendly competition with each other, and of course, to connect with you!

Without further ado, it’s time to announce that Episode 2 is on its way! This episode will feature Mario Kart 8: Deluxe, hot off the heels of the newest – and last – DLC drop! It’s hard to believe that we’ve been playing Mario Kart 8 (and then by extension, Deluxe) for over 9 years already! And while I think most of us are ready for a fresh new title (maybe on the Switch 2 if that ever ends up getting announced…), it’s great to have new content to once again freshen up the game that we all enjoy. 

Wave 6 adds 8 new tracks and 4 new characters, bringing 48 additional courses and 8 additional characters to an already jam-packed racing title! The newest characters are especially welcome, as Mario Kart 8 didn’t always have the best roster (especially compared to the mobile title of all things). Funky Kong, Diddy Kong, Pauline, and Peachette all are joining the gang to race in the new Acorn Cup and Spiny Cup! From characters, to karts, to courses, there’s so much to enjoy. 

Episode 2 of Sentry Versus will go live on Monday, 11/13 starting at 8pm over on our Twitch channel, where you’ll find our team ready to race! If you have a copy of the game and Nintendo online, you’ll be able to join our lobby! We encourage you to engage in the chat with us during the episode. We’ll be uploading the episode to our YouTube channel later as well. With all the craziness that happens in every Mario Kart race, this is sure to be an awesome episode. We hope to see you there!
